Delft Iron Salt and Pepper Shakers - vintage, collectible, Japan
741 - This set of salt and pepper shakers were purchased at a collector's estate sale. They are used and in good condition. There is a chip on the edge of the iron (see photo) however it is hard to tell if it happened after they were made or if was glazed that way.
The iron is two pieces. The top portion is white with a blue handle and light blue trim. It is 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches long. It sits inside the bottom portion of the iron. It has a plastic stopper and marked "H-92" and has a red and gold sticker "Made in Japan" on the bottom.
The body of the iron is white and light blue with darker blue flowers. This piece is 1 10/16 inches tall and 3 inches long. It also has a plastic stopper, marked "H-97" with a gold and red sticker "Made in Japan".
