Kasuga Ware Quail Salt and Pepper Shakers - vintage, collectible, birds, Japan
1721 - This set of salt and pepper shakers were purchased from a collector's estate. They are used and in very good condition.
Both birds are very colorful. The larger of the two has his wings spread displaying a chest of blue and reddish/pink breast. His face is brown with a gray comb on the top of his head. The wings are different shades of brown. This shaker is 3 inches tall with a wing span of 4 inches. He has a cork stopper and marked with a black and silver sticker, "Authentic Kasuga Ware Japan Handcrafted".
The smaller quail is standing on one foot. This shaker also displays a chest of reddish pink and brown feathers. His face is more gray and brown with a gray comb on top of the head. This shaker is 3 inches tall, has a cork stopper and the same sticker markings on the bottom.
